SHIPPING AND MANAGEMENT

To ensure a comfortable urban transportation for Izmir citizens and to prevent past mistakes, all bus operations and their subordinate units were bunched together in same organisation of ESHOT as a result of the reorganisation works carried out during 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Transportation is managed by ESHOT in 5 districts (Konak, Karsiyaka, Buca, Bornova and Teleferik).

After acquiring ferries from TDI in April, 2000 and respectively Subway system was put into service in May and the integration of “Bus-Ferry-Underground” was achieved.

With Izmir Suburban Railway System put into the service, full integration for urban transportation system was provided on 30th of August in 2010.

We, as ESHOT, provide an uninterrupted transport service for Izmir citizens and we raise standards for more safety and comfortable public transportation day by day. Air-conditioned new buses are preferred in the tenders to rejuvenate our bus fleet.

Our principle is not only the comfort of our citizens but also their safety!
While we put so much effort into fast and comfortable urban transport , we also place utmost importance on the passenger safety as well. Our drivers go under alcohol inspection regularly before they start their work every day.
